Same goes for challengers I believe, but obviously that ranking would be way higher, 32 I think it is

50 for challengers

I checked the ITF rulebook and the cutoff is 150.

Re: Peter Polansky
If you are top something, you need a wc to play, see Kohlschreiber this week in Orleans.

Re: Peter Polansky
he actually had a 5-1 lead at one point in the first set and let it get to 5-3, actually having to break for the set if i remember correctly
its not to encouraging(to me anyway) that he got played so tight by a doubles specialist

Well he really is a top 200 singles player with a career high of 70 that only stopped playing singles because his rank was too low (around 100) compared to his doubles rank. He is not a typical doubles specialist.

Re: Peter Polansky
why would he mean high? His singles rank was too low to get direct entry into atp events which he would be playing in doubles. Therefore he wouldn't get many ranking points because he wouldn't be playing singles as much and therefore his ranking dropped.
How would his ranking be too high?

Just that top 100 sounded high in comparison, and it's not too low to get DE.

This is exactly the case.

Well when you are on the 3rd best doubles team in the world, you play 9 masters and 4 grand slams.
A ranking of around 100 doesn't get you into any of those.

Really, that's the card you are going to pull, those make up barely any events, top 100 gets you into majors anyway.
