He can still win matches! honestly i thought marsel was so far gone that he wouldnt stand a chance against a decent player like marius.

I hated that they drew each other , i wanted them both to qualify but honestly marsel needs this a whole lot more than marius. He had a dreadful season last year, hopefully he can rebound this year and this is a good start.

Marsel finished last season pretty well. He didn't exactly redeem himself for his horrible start to 2012, but it was a nice way to conclude the year.

So I'm not shocked that he's begun with a tough win. Marius is a good player in the making, but he still has much to learn.

I don't understand this bizarre logic. Every aspiring player needs to win matches and progress up the rankings. One low ranked player doesn't need it more than another.

This is a definite setback for Marius who looked like he was finally starting to mature last season. Hopefully he can regroup next week and not go back to his old ways.

After all the confidence issues marsel went through last year a win like this is great for him. He had a number of losses like this last year too where the match could have gone ither way. To start the season with a close win over a good young players , its a good start. Its got to be a confidence builder for marsel..which is what he needs more than marius at the moment and why i think marsel needed it more.Marsel was also in a downward spiral. He ended the season well last year but on the futures circuit

so i say marsel needed this more both for the confidence and because he's farther down than marius so the points he could get here will be nice in his climb back to the top 100

i do like marius though so this result also sucks a bit for me because id like to see marius make top 100. However he's probably only a few good results away at the right tournaments.I wouldnt call this a set back for him because marsel is alot better than where he's ranked right now, its not like he lost to a nobody
