Re: Your expectations for Federer in 2013.
Federer's accomplishments will push some Rafatards and Noletards further into irrational hate for the GOAT and expose those Noletards and Rafatards as fangirls of one player and not fans of the great sport of tennis.

Re: Your expectations for Federer in 2013.
The fact that Nadal withdrew plays in Roger's favor to win the AO. A big obstacle he doesn't have to worry about. Djokovic and Murray still big obstacles but it wouldn't surprise me if he beats them. Nothing to lose anymore.

No idea what to expect from old Rogie 2013. At his best he can still beat anyone but he cannot hold that level for long.
Would be great if he won another slam. It is certainly possible if he times his form well.

Nadal is 8-4 against Fed since that FO 2008 final (included)
bigger chance yes, far bigger, absolutely no. He can lose to many other players and so can Nadal (notably to Djokovic, and Nadal was near to losing in Wimbledon early rounds several times before the Rosol-match, like Federer against Falla or Benneteau)

Fair enough.
But lets look at the numbers - majors only - since Federer's last win against Nadal (ie. after Wimbledon 2007):
a) Played Nadal five times, number of major titles - 0.
b) Not played Nadal 16 times, number of major titles wins - 6.
Looking at those figures, Federer's chances of winning a major increase a lot when he doesn't meet Nadal...

Negative Nole fan. You know better than to count out Federer for a slam next year. He is way too good still not to be a serious contender. Relax. Djokovic will win his slam or two. Doesn't mean he can't if Roger wins one.

They close the roof very seldom at AO and even if they do we're talking about real surface, not that stuff cows like to chew.

Staggering that you aren't banned yet for spewing bitter hate towards the second most respected person in the world 24/7 on this forum. Who's the mug in your avi btw?

Re: Your expectations for Federer in 2013.
He'll probably finish top 3 now since I'm not convinced that Rafa will come back and play at a high level consistently enough to gain enough points. Will probably win a few Masters events but don't see him winning a slam.
