Re: Nadal OUT of the Australian Open
It would make more sense for him to come out and say his knees aren't ready yet rather than pinning it on some lame stomach problem.

Maybe you missed last year's final where Nadull choked badly in the 5th set after a point at the net a 2 year old would have made.

dunno, he contradicts himself a lot, he said he was injured back in 2009, but only recently he was talking down his defeat to rosol at wimbly by basically saying that the difference between that and his defeat to soderling, is that in RG 2009 he was fit whereas at wimbly this year he was 'injured'

I´m not an expert with these kind of injuries, but it just seems weird that after such a long absence they would set the target to a hard court Slam, when smaller clay tournaments are just around the corner. He wouldn´t have been a factor at the AO anyway because of his absence and lack of match practice.

Doctors have advised that Nadal take a week-long period of rest without training, beginning today. He will then be examined and have an x-ray in four to five days.
“Rafa suffered last week a viral process that provoked a gastroenteritis with high fever for four to five days,” said Angel Ruiz-Cotorro, who heads Nadal’s medical team and is the director of the Mapfre Center for Tennis Medicine. “Starting next week he won’t be in sufficient physical conditions to continue with his rehabilitation process.”

x-rays are probably for his knees, not for the virus

Re: Nadal OUT of the Australian Open
If it's confirmed that nadal is out of AO due to "stomach virus", i truly believe it's a cover up for something really bad.

I agree, with good antibiotics, you can get up and running and back to 100% within 3 days.
Something bad or sinister is at play here.

Re: Nadal OUT of the Australian Open
As I've said, I smell a rat. Doesn't add up. The Nadal camp make North Korea seem transparent by comparison.

Djoker had Ferrer in USO.
But hey, do not let facts get in the way of your silly hatred.

Could be for the lungs as well.
