Did he say which is the double account that he's accused of?

If Johnny says he didn't have double account, he didn't. Sometimes mods jump into conclusion and it's very hard to persuade them to look into the matter again.

Yup. Sounds like the mods screwed up.

Re: 2012 MTF Popularity Contest News Thread
Johnny says he didn't even receive any PM, just suddenly logs in and *boom* - banned for a double account.
I think this was stupid at the very least to ban someone who is running a popcon, in the middle of the final, for something which in fact may be questionable. It's obvious that in the past users were at least asked (including in the popcons ) to explain the situation.
JG doesn't have the most trustworthy image here, but mods also had their share of screw ups, so we have the right to ask

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't think any mod even thought for a second that we might be disrupting an off-season contest. I know at least for me, I didn't even know he was running the contest.
There was no thought that we were ruining your contest or whatever. Sorry

I believe there is an email account where he can inquire as to why he was banned.

Re: 2012 MTF Popularity Contest News Thread
Well, 2 or 3 mods were probably aware of the ongoing popcon and its organizer, because they withdrew If bans really are not done lightly, like it is stated in the rules, then perhaps this one was discussed?
Unless in case of IP clash you have a tool of automatic ban, which I know it's not true, because I was asked once behind the stage about two posters who were my friends, and they were a real life couple. This situation from the past proves delicate cases (especially that regard very long time members) CAN be handled delicately.
Leng jai and tripwires were receiving PMs regarding Ajdeman before any ban was imposed, this I know for sure as well.

I agree with Nathi.

So a member shouldn't be banned since they are running a competition?
Or if we ban a member during a competition then we didn't take it seriously? I'm not sure I see any correlation at all.
What if we ban a member during TT? Does that mean we aren't being serious, or should we just wait for a convenient time to ban a member?
Or are you suggesting that we should use favoritism for users certain users?

As if this was going to change something for you to ban him 4 hours later.
Did you even send him a PM to clear it up? Because I know many cases when you did. This includes popcons in 2008 and 2010. One of the members even avoided ANY ban for creating fake accounts and voting with them in the popcon, and the second user got 1 week, so yes, you do use favouritism for certain users.
In 2010 the situation was very carefully discussed between popcon organizers and the admin. Several PMs were exchanged before any ban decisions were taken.
On the contrary, that Feldman's ban in the middle of the popcon final of 2011 for the post reported 2 weeks earlier was ridiculous too, gives some rational base for thinking you're doing that on purpose to have some lolz at us.
