well if i had a daughter, i would want the best for her instead of some douchebag just from the street. you can provide for yourself now... what about if you get pregnant?

I won't get pregnant. I mean my standards aren't as low as just some douchebag from the streets so obviously he doesn't trust my judgment either. I mean my ex-boyfriend gave him no reason to trust me but he should at least know that I'm a lot more mature now than I was when I dated that asshole.

Will he be pleased when he finds out? Did he like any of your past boyfriends? Is your mom more receptive to your boyfriends than your dad?

No trade union in Singapore. Seriously it's so fucking ridiculous. Just a few weeks ago a few bus drivers from China who were working in Singapore were arrested for going on a strike to protest their shitty working conditions. What kind of a society does this? God I hate my country so much sometimes.
Yeah, definitely no bank for me.

My dad is 165cm and he complained that my boyfriend is too short. Yeah he's a bit short at 170 but still, he's taller than my dad.

Well im glad that you found the one for you. To be honest im very sure that hes a great man. And its great to expect what you want in a guy. Me i just want a person to love me, to work hard and to dedicate to himself and to me. Like for example. I want him to go to college because i have faith that he will get a career outta himself. And he should have a great personality. I always take personality over looks anyday.

My boyfriend is extremely intelligent and intellectual and I definitely think he's on par with me in that regard, so I don't care where he went to school. You shouldn't think that you're not good enough for those guys. This may be overreaching a bit but my starting point is always to assume that I'm good enough for everyone; it'll help build up your confidence. Besides, you're an awesome girl with so much heart and generosity; you'd be at least good enough for anyone.

My parents (mainly my mom) thinks that going to college of any is important. She actually is very proud of the fact that i went back to college. But i think its great that you love your boyfriend and are happy with that person. Its always important to find someone who has intellgence and great personality and sense of humor. And yea, i think i just need to be patience and try to get to know a person before i give myself to that person. I had alot of bad experiences when it came to relationships. Hopefully one day ill find Mr. Right.

I don't want to lead an extravagant life really. I just want to be comfortable and not work too hard. It's looking more and more likely that the life of an academic would be one that suits me best...I mean, my professor doesn't go to school on Fridays, which means he has a 4-day work week at least. How would I be able to find such awesome working hours elsewhere?

Me either, i mean it will be nice for a while, but i rather work hard for my extravagent life, not saying that celebs or famous people dont work hard. To be honest living that extravagent life to me is more like an temptation than a real life. Well i have two classes which i take 3 days of the week, now that i have signed up for 4 classes which means that i got full-time(more money from financial aid ) Ill be taking classes 4 times a week which is not bad at all.

stuff like that makes me angry (not an easy Task), striking is a Basic right of all human beings but i guess every country with her rules and Mentality, no country is perfect..
i do believe that in the future, things like that will change, dont know how but it will or i hope it will..

i wasnt making them aware of any boyfriend they vaguely were aware i knew a man from russia but i was discreet and didn't appear like it was something serious, so they tried to be curious ofc, but didn't push me to the limits of patience when i didn't speak
i think they'll like Arsen, it's hard to not like him
my mom already saw a pic and judged he's good looking
she's always asking if he likes the things i cook

Re: Attention Seeker Thread. - Happy Holidays!
i am an artist, therefore i need to have a husband who earns well
nah, srsly, i guess with degree in PR i can earn very well myself but i'd prefer to work part-time or do something online (in my perfect books: to have TA as a fantastic popular tennis website which brings at least *some* income and gives me a creative boost every day), actually i'm planning to have kids and i'd prefer them to have me than a nanny
also Arsen would miss me if i was away from home every day for too long

I have never worked a day of my life, i wish i did, my mom kept telling me "look Precious, you know you have limitations because of your disabiliy. You need to just focus on your school, instead of doing more at a time. " Well i would agree with my mom but seeing some of my friends working makes me wanna work. Thankfully im doing Dept of Rehab(which is job training) so that i can learn what a job environment is like.
Yea i prefer for myself to take care of my kids than a nanny, i heard so many bad stories about them. I mean they are good people some yes, but to me, they dont know how to take care of them like parents do.
i would be doing the same thing if my bf/husband was away alot. i would go crazy.
