Re: Getting to know: Santiago Giraldo
Disappointing loss by Santi. He was an error machine in that match vs Rafa after the first few games which were competitive.
Santi will be playing Davis Cup for Colombia vs Brazil in Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Brazil, next weekend. It will be a tough tie for the Colombians to win but Santi will have chances in both his singles rubbers to gain points for the team. I like both squads so may the best team win!

Re: Getting to know: Santiago Giraldo
Santi won his first singles rubber vs Souza 6-3 6-4 6-4 to give Colombia a 1-0 lead in the tie, but the Brazilians won each rubber afterward. Bellucci defeated Santi 2-6 6-7(3) 2-6 to clinch the tie for Brazil and eliminate Colombia. No World Group playoffs this season for the team.
This week Santi is playing his home town event in Pereira and won his R1 match vs Saavedra-Corvalan 6-3 6-3. His motivation will be very big here to win the event with friends, family and supporters cheering him on. He plays De Paula in R2 today. Should be another win, hopefully it's quick and comfortable.
Santi is in the Pereira SFs where he plays Hidalgo.
The other SF is between Alund and Salamanca.
