Guillermo Alcaide Cheering Thread
Anyone know of him?
He's world number 341 right now and still fairly young.
Best result this year is the quarters of an Indian Futures event. Last year he had some good wins over Dick Norman and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi. If anyone has any photos or news, please post in here.

Thanks. That's really good to hear!
Do you think he can become a good player in the future?

Re: Guillermo Alcaide Cheering Thread
Yes, he can do it, because he is also Spanish
I think he will good result at faster court, match better than clay court.
And, he really like to play hard court(QF Segovia Last year, traveling US indoor challenger this year), He is not normally Spanish tennis player, I like that
So, he can become a good player in the future

Re: Guillermo Alcaide Cheering Thread
Guillermo is in a slump right now. He has not won a match this year.

Re: Guillermo Alcaide Cheering Thread
Wimbledon Qualifying
Q1: def. Donald YOUNG (USA) 6-4 6-1
Q2: def. Juan-Pablo BRZEZICKI (ARG) 6-4 5-7 6-2
Q3: vs. Evgeny KIRILLOV (RUS)
Guillermo has been dealt a favourable draw this week, here's hoping he takes advantage of it and qualifies. Kirillov is certainly beatable.

Re: Guillermo Alcaide Cheering Thread
And he made it, 6-4 6-3 6-4 over Kirillov. Fingers crossed for a kind draw in Guille's slam debut.

Re: Guillermo Alcaide Cheering Thread
Thank you so much. I was only expecting one photo, so six is fantastic.
You really should have asked him for a photo because he seems like a nice guy. Great to see him supporting Juanqui, I wonder if they're friends?

Re: Guillermo Alcaide Cheering Thread
No problem - happy to share! He does seem like a genuine nice guy. During the Simon match, he hit the linesman in the face with a ball, apologised many times and gave him a high five to make sure he was okay! Haha!
