Please, Thomaz, retire for your own dignity.
Whatever, move this so-called "tournament" to another place, get there 8 players who deserve that for grinding on challenger tour and also play it on wiser date, not almost in December
|
Also, going undefeated in this event will earn a player $91,500 - not exactly chump change! But I'll take the minority view and be realistic; Belluci adds prestige to the event (even if not earned) and necessary local interest. Approximately 10,000 fans turned out for last years event in SP, hoping to see it a success again this year.

Elias trashing Lorenzi would be a win in some many ways for me, but mainly for Tennis in general! Vamos Gastăo!

Re: Challenger Schedule update: Challenger Finals added!!
Have you noticed how often the player who has had way more chances in the set will lose the tiebreak later.
Bedene had 9 bps, Hanescu zero but wins the set in tb.

Hanescu bottled two match points from a break up in the second set.

Re: Challenger Schedule update: Challenger Finals added!!
That was funny, saved 11bp's but then gets broken when he finally has 2 matchpoints..
Hanescu wins it 7-6 7-6

He has been absolutely crucified tonight. He's way out of his depth on this surface.

I don't think surface his the problem. His serve was way off today. Also we went for too much in some shots, although I admit it's very hard to defeat Mugrenzi if he tries to equal his pushing style, cause the italian is too consistent for that and will always win about 75% of long points, specially if both try to hit long balls.
