Re: Favourite Top 100 Tennis Player - Semifinal 1
Surprised the T Haas is so popular. He has a great game style, but he never wins any significant tournaments, at least not lately.I do not like his personality or the gamesmanship antics I have see him pull. Just out of curiosity, what significant tournaments has Haas won throughout his career?

Expected that Milos losing here, he barely made it through round 1, good accomplishment to make it through round 2 as well

...would you mind sharing your thoughts on that?
I mean, I'm sceptical about format changes.
The original format apparently was an 8 (or 10) player multiple choice final, analogous to the previous stages.
If now the final wasn't multiple choice (or was totally different) the idea behind this poll/contest series would be in danger of getting pretty much destroyed.
I'm afraid Federer would win then by a large margin whereas the likes of Haas and Dimitrov, who many people give their second or third vote, had no chances anymore.
(If not for multiple choice in the QF I'm sure Nadal and Murray were not yet eliminated.)

The problem with multiple choice for the final is that lots of people are voting for everyone except who they want to lose e.g. vote for everyone except Player X. That skews the results.
It hasn't made that much difference so far but that's because people have had their own favourites to focus on. But presumably in the final most people's favourites will be out so I think there will be a lot of tactical voting with a multiple choice poll.

That might be the very thng that separates (or has separated) this voting "tournament" from the typical "Who's Your Favorite Active Player" thread.

Please move the discussion about the Final's format in the thread I have just created for it, and leave this clean for voting and this Semifinal talk.

SO WHAT ?
We all know that Federer is gonna win if it is a single choice ?
what is the purpose of these threads then?

I don't like multiple choice for final.
It defeats the purpose of "final"

Since when did Dimugtrov get so popular? Didn't know people had a penchant for mugging around.

Yeah. Those polls are boring and results are very well known in advance. On the other hand, voting for ACC would bring us all the necessary joy and excitement we are craving for!

Re: Favourite Top 100 Tennis Player - Semifinal 1
Why is Kei Nishikori the only name in italics? Are you trying to skew the results by drawing more attention to him?

Kei is not in italics anywhere. The only way Kei's name can get in italics over there is if you have voted for him. You cannot put italics in poll options. Or, not to my knowledge.
