Biased thread. Where's the option "he won't loose it in 2013"?

Djokovic being number 1 is no where near as bad as that morose sob getting a slam but hell everyone can get lucky even a scot

You really can't say anything about this. Nadal probably won't take it, unless he immediately shows form and wins the AO. Judging by Federer's post-Wimbledon season he seems not to have the weapons to dominate 2013, but then again you never know, we've been saying this for 3 years . So, it'll probably depend on Murray's form and possible final breakthrough, and Djokovic's retaining his own form.

All the Top 4 players all have a lot of points to defend early in the year so the only way is for Djokovic to be ousted in the early rounds of the AO, Miami and Indian Wells; as well as the other three maintaining their results from last year. The other way is if Nadal is injured during the clay season and somehow Federer or Murray win those tournaments. Both scenarios are unlikely but are probably the only conceivable ways that Djokovic relinquishes the No.1 spot.

djokovic's no.1 is not going to be safe, you know who is back on the prowl after his long injury lay off and he's going to make djokovic his turkey for the remainder of his career

All depends on rafa and how he performs, but I think Nole will still stay no 1 throughout the year.

wait... Djokovic won the last 3 tournaments he played....? PARIS BRO

it wasn't that convincing, Bejiing weak field, SHanghai scraped past Murray. the WTF he played a great tournament I would agree, but judging overall by his 2012 we can certainly state that he played worse than in 2011. who expected him to keep playing that well? no one. but he declined a bit or at the very least as hit a middle ground level and has stuck there

his form of late hasn't indicated that he's going to hold onto the #1 ranking long term, if he falls early in Australia, Federer already will be breathing down his neck ranking wise

it's annoying to anyone with a brain, only apes thump their chests like that, or are you conceding that Djokovic is just a mindless brute?
rain or no rain, Nadal would have won that match. it's dumb you say that though, if anything it started sprinkling at the end of the second set and the courts began to play much differently with the ball bouncing much lower favoring Djokovic. shouldn't have played at all in wet conditions. coming back the next day with normal conditions just verified that Djokovic can't beat the best of the best on clay when they are in form and the court is playing how it should

it's amusing how confident you are in Djokovic winning it in 2012 when he has reached only 1 final in his career there. he is not even on par with Soderling at that tournament yet
