Missing out what exactly? Most of people drink just to get drunk anyway, no other reason.

I think that's true for most East Asians?

Isn't it weird to mix coke with transparent liquor?

Generally, yeah. I'm worse than the average East Asian though. But ever since coming to London, I've been training my tolerance level.

Re: booze thread
Champagne. Martini's. Mimosa. Tequila Sunrise's. And I drink a lot of rum drinks, especially cocktails like piña colada's, Mai Tai's, Cuba Libre's, mojito's, planter's punch, etc...
I hate all drinks that have cranberry juice in them.
And you can't get good beer in the US unless you order it from abroad. The beer here is for peasants. And I haven't drank beer other than on rare social occasions since university.

Re: booze thread
It's the truth. Beer tastes like piss. Unless you go to a store that carries foreign beer and/or have them do specialty orders or order online. And most foreign beer is shit too.
Michelob is what I order when it's a dive and there's little choice.

Like what? They all taste the same to me.
I don't know, when I was clubbing back home (4 years ago) someone told me that I should only mix coke with dark-coloured liquor (e.g. rum + coke) and sprite with light-coloured liquor (e.g. vodka + sprite).
We get drunk and get all red in the face. It's really embarrassing when I get all red after 1 drink.

Beer, while not great tasting, tastes better than hard liquor. It's also cheaper.

Oh, the Coco Loco is probably my favorite drink of all. Don't know how I left it off.
