I'll be 38 in 20 years
But I will remember Wimbledon and the AO (Nadull's reaction when he won that set ) and try to forget the rest (especially Mugray fluking his only slam).

Juan Carlos Ferrero's retirement and the lovely tributes by his tennis colleagues, especially Rafa, Roger and Ferru.

Well, Fed winning a record 17th slam and breaking the weeks at number 1 should take it. Although if he manages to win another slam in the future, this season will be rendered less memorable.

Even without the result, must say the Olympics at Wimbledon. That place will never look like that again.
The British summer. The triple of the low of the Wimbledon final (that it may be Federer's last GS would add), the insanity of Murray's Olympic week culminating with beating that same guy in the gold medal match, and finally the end of the British Grand Slam drought will all be tied in together.
Djokovic playing close to 11 hours of tennis in his last two matches at the Australian Open.
Andy Roddick retiring, especially if you go on the assumption that American men's tennis will continue to slide. I'll also add on Roddick's last match against Federer, because history will keep that "rivalry" in mind.

Re: What Will YOU remember the 2012 Season for in 20 years?
The old man Fed still fighting his way, not esp. Wimbledon.
That's also the way I mostly remember McEnroe and Connors.
Not one peculiar match but the way they were there as old players.

Fed's 17th slam & record-breaking return to No. 1.
Rosol sending Humbacheato whining home.
Djoker coming through 2 5-setters to win the A.O.
Murray's ending Britain's grand-slam drought.

Re: What Will YOU remember the 2012 Season for in 20 years?
Muzza getting over the line to join the slam club, Rosol's stunning performance and upset, Olympics being at Wimbledon (along with the Davis Cup-style crowd) and won by the homeboy and Fed proving the naysayers wrong and knocking over two of his great younger rivals to equal Pete's Wimbledon titles. Plus some sad retirements of some entertaining guys (Roddick, JCF, Ljubo, Gonzo)

Re: What Will YOU remember the 2012 Season for in 20 years?
The year that all the top 4 won a slam in their best surface. I don't think I'd be able to remember much of Fed's Wimbledon, maybe if it would be the last one. I believe he can still win another one though.

Muzza wins his first slam.
Rosol's gigantic upset in Wimbledon.
Three slovenians in top100 first time in history, also Žemlja reaching finals of Vienna.
Seppi having the best season of his life.
Warming up for practice with Starace in Umag
IT'S BEEN A GREAT YEAR.

Re: What Will YOU remember the 2012 Season for in 20 years?
First I'll remember Federer's wimbledon run with a big smile on my face.
Then I'll remember the Rosoldull match, and boy I hope I won't be in a public place when it happens.

Re: What Will YOU remember the 2012 Season for in 20 years?
I'll remember 2012 for Nadal's injury/drugs suspension which became a bit of a farce in the end.
Positively I'll remember Federer's great Wimbledon win at 30 years of age, beating Djokovic and Murray back-to-back.
