When I say Novak would have beaten Murray if there wasn't for the wind, you badrep me. And now you say Murray would beat Roger if there wasn't for the roof. Double standards much?

I was being sarcastic here. I'm just trying to say that if the US final was ruined by conditions, you could say the same for Wimbledon. The conditions are the conditions, whoever adapts to the better deserves to win.

Some of you really need to watch matches below the ATP level.

You're comparing a roof, a CONTROLLED device used in tennis matches....to wind.
Really?

Re: WORST Matches of the Year
Between top players: any Mugray/Luckobitch pushfest really.
Between any player: don't know, I'm not watching tennis when there's no top 10 involved, that's how much of a gloryhunter I am.

Re: WORST Matches of the Year
I'm sure the worst match was one between two relative unknowns in a first round somewhere, but one of the worst I've seen between two recognizable players (one of them top) was probably Verdasco-Nadal in Madrid.
Nadal, conceding to his hissy-fit, played well below his capabilities; tons of errors from either side - neither could find the court.
2009 AO aside, any time these two players have gotten together in recent years has been pure trash. Madrid wasn't as bad as the pile of shit that was last year's Cinci match, but it was awful nonetheless.

haha OP!! see ^^^ someone else here agrees that Madrid Nadal - Verdasco was a horrible match!! the blue clay was frightening, both players in not very good form, Nadal choking 5 games lost in a row in 3rd set, ughhhhh I almost threw up. at least if Verdasco had been in form, but it was like watching two tennis players on ice...
agreed though backhand, that 2009 match was brilliant with their styles clashing, but since either Nadal has just grinded Verdasco into a million errors or both have played poorly :/
