Dubai, Wimbledon (x2), Cincy, USO all says hi. Also he needed to save 5 MP's to avoid another straight set loss to Murray on a fast(er) HC.

Did he lose? No.
Pointless even mentioning it.

Miami slow HC -> Djokovic in 2 easily
Shanghai fast HC -> needs to save multiple MP's
see the difference?

Yes. They were two completely different matches played in completely different conditions that has zero relevance to each other.

I guess that's what I'm talking about different conditions, like court speed for example...

You have taken a ridiculous sample of 1 match from two different types of surfaces and made a conclusion based on that?
Do you realise how stupid that is?

So Fed wants faster courts because he wants to win more (to get more $$$) but God beware Nadal dares to say he wants slower courts: He would get bashed to no end here

Slowing down the courts is what elevated the quality of tennis. No true tennis fan wants to see only-serve-mugfests on lightning fast courts.

Re: "Speed up the courts and general court speed Thread"
No surprise Matt is talking tripe.
Wrong. Actually it hasn't elevated the quality of tennis at all, when it's the same stuff played on all surfaces. So you'd eat the same food 3 times a day and 365 days a year.
I actually remember the days when the courts were very fast and even then it wasn't all serve players that were winning most of the big events. Next of all the game is at a level now where the changes have gone too much the other way, that there is no diversity with the surfaces at all.
This is why all these records are actually getting broken so often now because when Borg played winning RG and Wimbledon back to back 3 times in a row was a big deal. Agassi winning the career Slam was huge because there were actually significant differences in the speed of the courts when he did it.
Of course they could easily make the conditions on the hardcourts and indoors quicker rewarding attacking play, but that won't happen when the ATP only care about marketing the top 4 and homogenised courts make this easier.

wrong.
djoker would be a good player in faster courts too , he would be like that djoker of 2007-2008 , pure agressive tennis.
but these two demolish federer in fasters conditions???? remember cincinatti , wimbledon , dubai , indoor tournys and more.
hewitt and roddick won slams in much more fasters conditions like now , especially hewitt in wimbledon and against sampras in a very fast us open.
topspindoctor saying bullshits again , with fast courts would be more variety in the tour and more surprises , but you are afraid cause your nadal in fasters condition would be shameful like against rosol , don`t be afraid the ATP for money will protect nadull , they want boring tennis and the same 3 or 4 guys always in the semis

Re: "Speed up the courts and general court speed Thread"
Great to see Federer in good spirits despite the fact that he had a chance to win the match in straights. Still had time for Totti and fans
Roger is a living legend amongst men

Well the situation isn't as clear cut as you're making it seem. It's very clear tennis fans want to see faster courts and not the slow crap we are treated to nowadays so of course people would bash Nadal for wanting to make the courts EVEN slower.
I mean is it even possible to make the courts even slower than they are today?

Re: "Speed up the courts and general court speed Thread"
Please bring back faster courts and success for attacking players. Yesterday's match was depressing and it was not because of the result but because of the quality - whenever Djoko went for more aggressive shots, he missed. It seems tennis players have forgotten what it means to achieve success by attacking.

I partially agree with you. All those homgenised courts aren't good. They should make the clay courts slower again like they were in the past, those fast clay courts like in Madrid are not good for tennis.
After that we can talk about making some of the HC courts faster. (Even though most of them are medium-paced now which is the fairest surface for tennis.)

well , the same djoko said that his tactic was be very passive and a couple of metters behind the baseline , return many many shots and did long rallys to fastidiate federer.
of course hat if the courts were faster even with his grat physicall condition many of that kind of ball would never return
