I don't accept your characterization of Gilbert as a "mug." He had a really nice career. Mugs do not have a 64.3 lifetime winning percentage. It is obvious that Gilbert just did not match up well against Lendl. You would figure that with that many matches he would have squeezed out one win, but nope, not one. Just a real unique set of circumstances here.

I think Federer is getting close with Ferrer, 13-0 and counting

I don't think Pics has ever gotten MP vs him.

Are there other lifetime bagels out there? Any info would be appreciated.
Borg vs Gerulaitis (as mentioned earlier in this thread) is also 16-0 although Vitas snuck in a WO win (see below). Noone is worse. Federer - Youzhny (currently 14-0) is the best active prospect for a new record.

I've mentioned in this thread it's 17-0 not 16-0... ATP doesn't show their Davis Cup encounter in 1978 which Borg won 6-3 6-1

I know now, figured it out in the meantime. Still, thanks for the info.

Borg and Lendl (vs Connors) are the only ones I know with 17 wins in a row from any starting point.

Roger needs to watch out for DelPo. That one seems rebellious.

Delpo has always been a rebelious turkey: taking a GS away from his masters, beating him in his hometown tournament, pretty much ending his hopes at Olympic gold (despite losing the match). I'm afraid Federer needs to make that birdcage a bit tigher
