I doubt he'll be able to come back to competitive tennis.

Of course he'll be back to tennis.

It would take an insanely bad multi fracture to take him out for too long, but normally he should be ready for the clay season.

Swift recovery Serioja!

Errr, a bruised hip and arm and leg fractures are hardly career threatening injuries should he heal well. Would be a different story had he hurt his back.

Err... actually it does. If a player is good or not is decided by results, not by subjective opinion like you and lenders seem to think.

If Bubka has potential or not is something else though.

At least Azarenka had the decency to fly in and visit him. Not all WTA girlfriends are heartless at least eh, Miss Kirilenko?

A good player can show his talents on court.

Bubka has excellent serve and forehand, but he makes too many unforced errors sometimes, like someone that is too anxious to go for the big shot.

Maybe this accident could teach him how to be more calm and collected on court too lol.

I wish him a speedy recovery.

This is no Thomas Muster. Say bye to any potential for this average player. He can't rely on good media attention or his dad to bail him out of trouble anymore.

Errr, that info alone is hardly enough for you to make such an assessment.

Update on the ATP website:

Quote:

Sergei Bubka is making positive strides on the road to recovery - already standing and almost walking - after sustaining multiple fractures in a three-story fall earlier this month.

The 25-year-old Ukrainian has been undergoing six hours of physical therapy daily, assisted by his Italian physiotherapist Gianluca, whom he calls “his magician”. Last week, Bubka also began making visits to the pool.

Despite the injuries, Bubka found much to be thankful for following the accident. “The circumstances leading to the fall were all so unlucky, but since the accident I feel I have been really lucky,” said Bubka. “I was lucky to be alive and not have damaged anything major. I was lucky my friends found me and took me to a great hospital where they took great care of me.”

Bubka admitted he didn’t remember the fall, which occurred when he leaned to look outside the window upon getting locked inside the bathroom of his friend’s flat, but remembers yelling for help. After waking up from nine hours of surgery at the Georges Pompidou hospital in Paris, he asked him mom four different times where he was and how he got there.

He expressed his gratitude for all those who came to visit him at the hospital, including Sergiy Stakhovsky, Malek Jaziri and Bob Brett, and for the outpouring of support received via text messages and e-mail.
