Tomas Berdych in 2013
How do you think his season will pan out .Will he win a masters 1000 event or reach a slam final ?

Re: Tomas Berdych in 2013
Could make a Slam final with a Federer-Murray (or the other way round, or a lower ranked player beating one of Federer/Murray and facing Tomas in semis) path or maybe even Djokovic at Wimbledon (big maybe), but his complete inability to challenge the two most dominant players of the past few years - Djokovic and Nadal - makes a Slam title a very long shot unless he somehow finds a solution for them.
Could win a Masters too with the right combination of form and draw.
If I had to make a prediction, I'd say 1 Slam final (lost), no other Slam semis, 1 Masters title, year end ranking of #6 behind the current top 4 and Del Potro.

The only thing you can guarantee with Berdych is a lot of choking.

Re: Tomas Berdych in 2013
He'll crash out in the first round of a slam again.

He is too old and will start to decline.

Re: Tomas Berdych in 2013
I think he can challenge for 5th spot, expecting Rafa to be back and Ferrer starting decline at some point - or just not defend all his points, Berdych should make all QF at slams-i think he can do it, he is too good for rest of the field to being upset, he is somehow more consistent in last 2 seasons. 2010 was big year for him from bottom top 20 guy again to be top 10 and big RG-Wimby run, than 2011-12 very consistent top 10 guys, now if he can win DC for CZE maybe that will be confidence boost. I think he can reach all slam QF with his ranking, look at this year AO-QF almost defeated Rafa, RG-unlucky with seedings that Delpo was 9-12 and he is just tough match-up for him, but this won´t happen again with Delpo top 8 ranking too, Wimbledon - people can say what they want, but Berdych played good match and most likely would have been in QF, simply his opponent that day vs red hot Gulbis- and thatś not shame to lost to Gulbis playing like people know he can. USO - SF
I really think he will have good season, he is really good on all surfaces, he has no weak surface, just he needs confidence that´s it. Really DC victory can do big things with his head maybe - similar to Nole 2010 DC.

I very much agree.
My prediction, 2 or 3 slam QFs. One of those will be a SF or F. In Masters Series, probably one or two finals, possibly winning one of those.

Re: Tomas Berdych in 2013
He'll turn 28, so the year-end number 8 will sound good for him, with 2 slam QFs IMO.
