CH Eckental F: Brands def. Gulbis 7-6(0) 6-3
Daniel Fabian won an extremely tight match yesterday, winning a second set breaker 13-11 after losing the first set, but showed no ill effects today.
Big serving, his BH slice was very effective, and he did a lot of damage on second serve returns. Daniel dictated most of the points and played great. I don't like him much but I'm happy for him here.

A classical waste of talent this Gulbis
Give 10% of his talent to Ferrer and you have a multiple GS winner (or give Gulbis 20% of Ferrer's work ethics..)

This was Ernest's first final this year, and his first semifinal as well, as a matter of fact, so this has been a good week for him. Brands was too good today.

What else should a player ranked no.150 do? Play Futures? Or try qualifying for Masters? Retire?

That would certainly be an ideal scenario.
