Re: How do we deal with the moniker problem on MTF?
Better question to ask is how do we deal with obvious double accounts like Honestly who is obviously Magician making a comeback. Mods don't seem to care.

The double accounts of MTF must be banned. I hear they're weak against maple leaves and Oil of Olay. Comrades, grab your torches and pitchforks and gather as one, so we may flush them out. This march shall be for freedom.

If its just when you sign up then that can easily be avoided by going to the library and making an account, also who's to say 2 people with the same IP is the same person, people do share computers you know, I don't see thr same IP as a legit reason to ban someone as its possible its different people using same computer
|
On vB forums you can see the IP address for every post you make. Also you can see the IP address from which you registered your account. If every post of one user has the same IP of another user, that's already fishy. If they exhibit the same behaviour as well, then - if it walks like duck, quacks like duck...

I just wonder what would happen if you don't know there's another person in your household posting to MTF, especially if another is Fedtard and another is Rafatard? If that came out, I think divorce would be near.

thats pretty rare.
its not that u Registered to a knitting Forum and ur a men and dont want ppl to know, its tennis.
most chances u will be more then happy to found out if another family member is also a tennis fan so u could play v each other or fly to see Tournaments.
There is no logical reason to hide or want to hide Therefore, if the same place have the same IP address, its a double account

I am not saying these are necessarily double accounts; there's no valid reason to ban a new poster who's simply been affected by the bittersweet sting of MTF and therefore chooses a name as a homage to some favorite troll or his style. But these new posters could very well be one of the old fans like Johnny Groove, Clay Death, Magician or some other previously banned poster trying to squeeze his/her way into MTF right in time for the ACC.
As I am one of the most smart, intelligent, clear-thinking posters who can separate the sleaze from the sham in MTF, I thought its time to bring this debate in the open.

To be honest I think some of these names, for example End da Game & PiggyGotRoasted are funny.

Who really cares. Let them be. They're funny, add something and on the whole pretty harmless.

This.
Which brings me onto another controversial question:
Is humour dying out?
