Re: Paris F: (4) Ferrer def (Q) Janowicz 6-4 6-3
So if in any case all top 4 players decide to skip the same grand slam tournament Ferrer should do the same because in opposite he would be a vulture ?

Re: Paris F: (4) Ferrer def (Q) Janowicz 6-4 6-3
Well... congratulations to Ferrer. He played a good, solid tournament, and was the better player today.
It's too bad Janowicz looked drained and was so error-prone today, that certainly cost him the match, as Ferrer was not dashing either.
Nice respect by Ferrer towards Janowicz
I would have loved Jerzy to win, because I really find Ferrer's playstyle boring as hell. But hey, beats having Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, or Murray as a winner I guess.

Re: Paris F: (4) Ferrer def (Q) Janowicz 6-4 6-3
at Ferrer for saying he was 30 in response to Jerzy saying he hoped to get revenge
Really nice of the tournament to point out that doors will open for Jerzy now and that he will be seeded at the AO...He has so much to be proud of today and so much to look forward to...You can tell he is really tired from all the publicity and interviews and tennis He seems like such a genuinely nice guy and has a sense of humor ...Great words from both players to each other...Jerzy seems very personable, hugging Ferrer
Congrats to Ferrer...As much as I wanted Jerzy's run to continue, it is nice to see a hard working player win a big title
Hope Jerzy takes this confidence from his amazing run this week and does well in 2013...Excited to see what he will accomplish on the main tour and how he adapts to being a Top 30 player

I know Lenders' point doesnt really come across, but I think he just means that Ferrer's mindset is too defensive, and he finds this boring.
I agree with him here. I don't value a player by how many wins he has had, I want to see offensive tennis, players who want to win matches, as opposed to player who want the other guy to selfdestruct.

Re: Paris F: (4) Ferrer def (Q) Janowicz 6-4 6-3
on a calmer note
this was incredibly deserved
such a great competitor deserves such a great title
its amazing that there are people who don't love this guy who never shows arrogance, bitching, or moaning on or off court
if nole, rafa, berdych, etc. worked as hard as david, they'd probably all be capable of breaking all of roger federer's records
unfortunately only one man has that drive

Why? It's not his fault that other players didn't played the tournament or couldn't deliver a better performance.
David has proven so often in the past how a great run can look like but then he had to play against Federer or Nadal in the final.
It's nearly mission impossible to beat Rafa on clay and Roger is just a bad matchup for David in the first place.
Ferrer has proven his consistency over the last years and his success is much deserved.
Congratulations to him and his fans.
Amazing tournament for Jerzy and one he will never forget in his career.

Ferrer does play offensively, he just doesn't have the power to blow opponents off the court.
