Can anything save great S&V and all-court tennis from extinction?
After seeing Llodra's beautiful playing today, I wonder what the future of great S&V and all-court tennis will be like. Will it get extinct so that only strategies on ATP Tour will be pushing or ballbashing from baseline, or will we see S&Ving or all-court-playing maestros on the top also in the future.
If this skillful tennis dies, it'll be a huge loss for tennis. Watching old videos of e.g. Sampras makes me think how ugly weaponless pushing or mindless ballbashing is. If only you have skills, you can do things so in so much easier way.
