Oh man this one is gold. Has Abraxas been spotted after this comment? I'm worried for his health after this.
Another Fed worshipping thread Don't you guys ever get a sore back and painful knees from all that kneeling and kissing his feet?

This makes me realize how different tennis is from the other sports. The rolemodels in tennis are so much more mature and elegant in how they carry themselves. I'd love to show my kid Federer and what he is all about. As much as you can say he is a mug, oldie, out of shape, terrible player , you have to admit compared to other sports idols he is a saint.
Thank you tennis for producing sport's heros that we can really look up to.

This could not put up with you, again. Ranking of Roger was officially carried out to the person respected after Mandela.
Moreover, Roger also has record of the sportsmanship prize which ATP players choose. They know Roger Federer very well.
prejudiced and arrogant anti never know.
lol

clay excluded. successive win 0. If grass and a hard are fast. Like Sampras era. Nadal is able to win only with clay. power of defense and muscles. boring ugly. All the surface is slow now.
fake time-out. cheat. gamesmanship. too noisy annoying always. excuse. boycotts threatened. always dissatisfaction cry complaints. dissatisfaction to schedule. selfish two-year ranking. bump to player. ugly protest. always exaggerated appeal of self condition. etc. overrated by fanatic arrogant blind fan

This gets to show how biased mods are in this site. If this thread was made about Nole or Andy, it would have been sent to their respective fan forums in the blink of an eye. I don't even know why I bother.

Yes, a person who is always admired by his colleagues has no friends.

I agree. Roger Federer is a great example of excellence. I also think Juan Carlos Ferrero would be a pretty good example. He has a well-rounded life outside of tennis.

Re: I have to say if there is any athlete I want my kid to aspire to its Federer.
why would you aspire for your child to be a egotistic, bitchy, patronising, arrogant, crying diva?
that's about the last thing you should aspire to
federer is a disgraceful role model
his smile is smug, his friendliness is faux, and his true self is hidden behind a mask of humbleness and unselfishness

To me Federer is greater than God, so yes he's the best role model I can think of.
