Millions wear purple on Spirit Day as a sign of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth and to speak out against bullying. Spirit Day was started in 2010 as a response to the young people who had taken their own lives. Observed annually, individuals, schools, organizations, corporations, media professionals and celebrities wear purple, which symbolizes spirit on the rainbow flag. Getting involved is easy -- participants are asked to simply "go purple" on October 19th as we work to create a world in which LGBT teens are celebrated and accepted for who they are. what did Mr. Clinton say, don't ask don't tell, the silliest thing ever ... yet it is there, but let's be stupid and pretend it's not there. . As a Canadian I'm still so disappointed with the States. 2 dogs can love one another, some guys like guys, some girls like girls, not sure where the problem is, better like/love someone than hate ... let them be ... I always though that so many people are making so much of this deal over nothing.

It's there, it has been forever. It's funny that old Greeks didn't even care about it, yet some Americans in 2012 can't stand/except it. just don't get it.
