Quote:

He will play Miami, Guadalajara and Le Gosier. I think it's good for him to mix between challengers and main tour.

Default Re: Kenny De Schepper

Kenny lost against Nishikori, very bad draw. Now he is out of the TOP100 but I am sure he will make his way to the TOP100 again soon.

His next tournament is in Bastad, where he has a direct acceptance into the Main Draw. After that he will play in Hamburg, Gstaad and Kitzbühel with MD acceptances as well. All back to back tournaments, so Kenny will play 4 consecutive clay court tournaments in Europe before the American summer HC season. No holidays for our hero

After that we will see if he plays qualies in Toronto and/or Cincinnati or if he decides to go to the Challenger circuit and keep playing in the European clay (San Marino or Prague in the first week and Cordenons or Meerbusch in the second week) or if he decides to play in Aptos (1st week Challenger event played on HC in the USA) and then play qualies in Cincinnati or rest and play in Winston-Salem.

After that, the US OPEN, where he will be very ver close to make it to the Main Draw (he has a projected ranking of 105 after Wimbledon and the last MD direct acceptance in a Grand Slam is about there, so we hope he enters the MD or otherwise he will be 1-4 seeded in the qualies). He has no points to defend since he lost in the first round of Newsport, Gstaad, Kitzbühel and Winston-Salem last year. His schedule looks better this season, with that awful Newsport travel to come back to Europe being tired and without practices on clay.

Allez Kenny!
