What's there to be afraid of? He knows what he's doing when he's in trouble, and it's obvious the amount of work he's put in to cope in these situations. This is experience. The more he does this, particularly in match situations, the better he will become at it.

Sure he can't save every match, but that's a different matter. It goes to show that you haven't beaten Nole until you win that MP.

He was up a break twice and then swung his shoulder wildly on easy volleys. He could've made it a less painful win, but he let murray get to tiebreak match points.

I doubt a Federer match point would be as interesting against Djokovic. It would be a bitter rant in the press conference as usual for Federer.

It's only a masters tournament lollol, Murray already won the biggest match between them this year, so what does this match count for. ? Murray is not as pusher, it's clear that he isn't going back to his normal playing style. he is more aggressive now a days and it's a joy to watch Andy play great tennis. US OPEN CHAMPION. SUCK IT. lol look at all the fedtards coming on here bwhahahaha. Federer is now Andy's bitch, has been for a long time, so you can't really say anything.
fist of all, it was a fantastic match, so much drama, just breath taking. I wouldn't worry too much about Murray hate as you call it. I see you joined MTF just this year. If you look at some very old threads you wouldn't believe the amount of hate for Djokovic in his early days. He was called Djokobitch, Faker you name it. Some posters went so far that they even made up some cartoons. It's gone, now, Nole won some slams, matured etc and nobody is b!tching any more. I feel similar thing will happen to Murray too. Keep winning, try to stay composed and MTF will adapt.
Poor Nadal just can't do anything right according to the MTF laws. he is probably the most hated person here. If Nadall plays and wins it's wrong, If Rafa is injured it's wrong again. I feel more sorry for Nadal than Andy.

MTF just moves in mysterious ways. forgot to say that Federer is perfect and don't forget all tennis players not called Nole, Fed Rafa or Andy are mugs :=)

It really is amazing how much he's improved his conditioning isn't it? While Mugray was buckled over yesterday and grabbing his limbs, Novak did not seem to be too winded at all. Now it's arguable whether this stamina has changed his game too much where we see many war of attrition rallies, but he still seems to throw us a winner biscuit now and then.

Match Point Novak needs to be immortalized in sculpture, like Michelangelo's David. I'm sure that once he's gone to tennis Valhalla, his statue will have his stones as the focal point of attention, and tennis fans will make a meccan-like pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime, in order to rub those lucky stones, like the budda's bully.

Or at least that's what the 'knowledgeable' posters on this forum used to say.
26/27 seems to be the point of diminishing returns.

However, since there doesn't seem to be a lot of talent in the pipeline, Nole's generation may well last longer.

weak competition the last 4 years wasn't as bad as the quitter generation between 2001-2006.
Safin, Nalbandian, Roddick...lmao

Ferrer is good for upsets but not much more in Masters and Slam quarterfinals.

Davydenko and Hewitt are just here for money and praise.

Yes, it is quite conceivable that even if their level of play drops somewhat they could still dominate as they are currently so far ahead of the younger generation.

As a tennis fan for 30 years, I find it very strange to have the youngest top-10 player being 24 years old and the second youngest 25˝.
