Our semifinalists are Rubin vs Kwiatkowski and Di Feo vs Papa
Papa def Paul 6-4 6-4
Good fight from Paul though: https://twitter.com/zootennis/status/256475776826888193

Rubin def Lederman. I think the score was 6-2 0-6 7-6(7-3).

It's a little slow to load. And works best on google chrome or firefox. And if you have a mac instead of a pc, you have to download something, i think it's written on the page.

I followed the livescore during lunch and yeah it took a while to load. Interesting match-ups. I will go with the top two seeds: Rubin and Papa.

I just have a hard time visualizing Thai upsetting anyone late into the tournament. If it gets into a third set, I def. don't see him winning (mentally fragile).

Thai has never lost to Rubin. That might help his mental state. Rubin competes better for now, although I have seen him check out when things don t go his way. Thai is a better tennis player but sometimes that s not a guarantee for coming up with a win.

Have they ever even played each other before?

I....I just.... I don't....do you....is this.... uhhh *does not compute*. Care to explain how you've come to this conclusion? Do you just hate Rubin (since you've been predicting against him since the second round)?

Yeah, it's a shame. Plenty of tournaments have the technology to live stream matches but they're never willing, or simply don't care to do it.

Zootennis read my mind:
Quote:
Rubin remembers last playing Kwiatkowski five years ago at the Junior Orange 12s, when he was 11 and Kwiatkowski was 12.
"He kicked my butt pretty well, I think it was like 1 and 0 in three minutes," said Rubin. "I blinked at it was over, so hopefully tomorrow will be a little bit different story."
|
That was a looooong time ago though, and they're both completely different players now.

Just read the match report from zootennis, a lot of drama in the Rubin-Lederman match I don't think Lederman will sleep well tonight.

I honestly don t think that predicting that Rubin might lose to his opponent warrants your statement that I hate the kid. Please tell me that you did that in the heat of the moment. if you go back and read what I said was that Henrik might upset Noah in three sets, and Lederman will give him a tough match, which indeed it turned out to be (lederman had three consecutive match points). I predicted other seeds to be upset as well but somehow that did not strike a chord with you. Only my prediction against the top seed did?!
Other posters on this thread were making comments about players having no chance of winning, or being mentally fragile or being given too much credit and somehow that was not considered ill-intended or malicious, but a mere prediction of a top seed going out early leads you to believe I hate the kid?!!! That is not fair! I think my posts are very respectful and not intended to offend anyone. I was merely rendering my opinion. like everyone else.
