Shanghai R2: Sam Querrey def. [14] Kei Nishikori 2-6 6-1 6-4
The Samurai had a lot of pain to fight through this game, so it is admirable that he managed to finish it, let alone looking like winning it earlier in the final set.

Good work Samuel.

Re: Shanghai R2: Sam Querrey def. [14] Kei Nishikori 2-6 6-1 6-4
Nishikori... it looke so great after 6:2 in 1st, i don´t know if he had something - injury, or just run out of gas playing so many matches lately. I think real winner of this match is Berdych, Querrey is better for him to play in next round and even if Kei somehow beat Querrey at his current stage Berdych would be big favorit. Querrey had great serving numbers - 20 aces, 89% 1st serve points won, but in 3rd set Kei wasn´t even trying to get back some big serves...

Disgraceful. He has dishonored the bushido way. Defeat can only be followed by one action.

Re: Shanghai R2: Sam Querrey def. [14] Kei Nishikori 2-6 6-1 6-4
i would say after the first set when he got his ankle treated on, he went completely for broke the rest of the match. He was really lucky to go up 4-1 in that 3rd set because he was down 0-30 multiple times and that service break was a gift from sam.
Apart from a patch here and there, sam played really, really well. I couldn't believe how well he returned today because he is normally shit at that. This is the best I've seen him play. It won't be a gimme against Berdych if today's sam shows up.

Re: Shanghai R2: Sam Querrey def. [14] Kei Nishikori 2-6 6-1 6-4
He gave it his best shot in the final set but querrey played smart tennis and let nishikori make all the errors. That and after he calmed down despite being 4-1 down in the final set, he kept serving big and forced nishikori to come up with all the shots. Nishikori shanked a lot of shots due to either frustration or he couldn't get in position fast enough. Oh well even if he won his match, I can only see him getting straight setted by berdych with his knee injury. It also seemed to be his right ankle as well since he grimaced while massaging it in the third set. Get well soon! Shape up for Basel

Well he won Japan, and reached the second round here, that is not too bad, he has been playing for three weeks now.

He gifted the break in set 3 with a DF and 3 UEs.
