ah yes, I think of this man first when I think of an Asian handsome man.
He's officially Japanese but his mother is Taiwanese and he was brought-up in Taiwan, which is why he speaks mandarine and plays in many Chinese movies. ChungKing Express is one of my favorite movies actually, also for Wang Fei (Wong Faye in an English way) 
But my wife being Chinese, she also shows me a lot of handsome Chinese in TV series

Oh yes I know, believe me, I know pretty much everything there is to know about Kaneshiro... I have now almost finished watching his entire filmography. The few films I have not seen are probably not worth seeing (he's done quite a lot of bad movies at the very beginning).
Generally I love his Hong-Kong movies, much more than his Japanese ones. I'm also a huge fan of both Chungking Express (which is just a terrific movie) and Fallen Angels (which is maybe not as perfect but Takeshi's role is much better). And of course some of his Chinese movies are awesome as well (Red Cliff... amazing) |

I don't know if he looks weird... To me he does look special but not weird. He does have a slight squint which can be a bit weird. But then again, so does Daniel Day-Lewis aka God made man.
