i think ‘ninja’ is a more appropriate nickname for kei given his speed and movement. spectacular week and a nice victory for japan.

disappointing final for rao as he looked a bit flat and fatigued after going the distance with tipsy and murray. but a great week overall and promising signs of improvement on the ros.

Milos is really unlucky. Twice now he played the final of an ATP500 tourny and twice the other finalist played the match of his life to beat him (the other one being being Melzer at Memphis). Now Kei was in front of his own public and has been hyperenergized the whole week.

Kei is good but not sure if he can keep this level outside of Japan.Bad for Raonic,he wasted a chance to greatly improve his ranking.

3rd set from Kei was out of this world. Still can't get over it.

If kei played like that all the time, he'd be able to beat lesser top 10 players like Mandy and Noserer

the first one he played, against Roddick in Memphis (2011) he really should have won. Roddick himself said that he had no idea how he won that match. Throughout the match Raonic was by far the better player, but ended up losing anyways.

Against Melzer this year he was outclassed. Melzer played one of the best matches in his life, his returing was insanely good.
Against Nishikori..pretty much same story. So yeah to be standing here with 0 ATP 500 titles after 3 attempts can be considered a bit unlucky. I'm sure he'll get one though.
