Impossible to tell if it crossed the line really especially in real time, they made the right decision.

Newcastle's total lack of squad depth is the reason why they won't finish top 6, not Cisse's goal drought (although Cisse has stopped scoring since Ba was brought back into the middle).

Newcastle don't have the squad for three fronts, that's their downfall. They had one competition to focus on last year.

The only thing Cole is guilty of is defending his teammate. JT's racist outburst provoked by a whiny wimp has dragged on much longer than it should. About time the whole case laid to rest.

Not a dumb comment at all considering the contrast in form between this season and last. He's a good striker with plenty more goals in him but he'll never return to the Messi form of last spring.

Klinsmann snubs Jozy Altidore for our next two WCQ matches.

It's extremely disrespectful to leave out the most in form American player who's currently tearing up the Dutch league. Sure he hasn't performed that well for the NT the last few times, but you can't expect him to when he gets absolutely no service in the box. Looks like we'll have to try to qualify with Eddie Johnson, Herculez Gomez, and Chris Wondolowski up front...pathetic.

Eddie Johnson? Really? I thought we had seen the last of that mug. Those are some high quality strikers. I'm no Altidore fan but at least he plays in Europe and is having a good season, even if Dutch defenses are putrid. Fortunately the fixtures are favorable.

Yeah, I don't really follow the MLS but apparently he's having a good season. Apart from the striker situation, this is one of the better lineups we've had in a while.

GK - Howard and Guzan are starters for Everton and Villa respectively

DF - Bocanegra (starter for Racing Santander, second division, but still a solid level of competition), Cameron (a lot of Stoke City fans think he's been one of their top 2-3 players so far this year), Cherundolo (captain of Hannover), Johnson (one of the better fullbacks in the Bundesliga), Castillo (starter for the best team in Mexico)

Mid - Williams (starter for Hoffenheim), Bradley (starter for Roma), Jones (starter for Schalke), Jose Torres (scrub)

FW - Gatt (only 21 and one of the best players on Molde, 1st in Norway currently), Gomez (mediocre), Wondolowski and Johnson (MLS ), Dempsey (starter for Spurs)
