Kei happy for the locals too, it would have meant a lot to them.

He bagelled Raonic
Regarding the other article, Kei kind of does remind me of a mini-Djokovic, except without the discipline on his strokes. He also reminds me of a cross between Tsonga and Ferrer.

Congrats, Kei.
Some commentators mentioned a little bit of Daveydenko and Agassi in Kei's game.
Poor Milos, he got bagled. Probably ran out of gas.

4 sets is not a destruction. And we all know form changes from tournament to tournament.

Congrats to Kei and I'm happy for the Japansese. This must be huge for them. Don't know how old Kei is but he is slowly but surely becoming a very good player.

Great result for Japanese tennis, Nishikori is the first Japanese to win this home tournament, isn't he? Congrats!
I read somewhere that he also won 365 cans of beer but politely refused as he 'didn't like beer' or something like that.

Re: Tokyo F: Nishikori bagels Raonic 7-6(5) 3-6 6-0
superb week for nishikori, he has played magnificent and deservedly has won the tournament
ranoic...getting bagelled. christ, i hate to think what djokovic will do to him if he starts reaching slam QFs
he won the 2nd set, should have taken it slowly in the 3rd, made sure he held his service games. didn't do that, tried to rush through it, nishikori swung freely, bagel time
first 500 win for nishikori. raonic will have to wait that little bit longer

Not only that, the same Cilic should have taken Murray to 5 at the very least.
