Default Belem CH F: Hocevar def. De Bakker 7-6(1) 7-6(4)

"At 27 years old, Hocevar had the bad impact of bruises and bad luck. In April, shortly after reaching the final of the challenger for Santos, he broke his wrist, and got down to his worst ranking since 2008. # 366 and had to play futures. In the week, he lost no sets against Ricardo Mello, Thales Turini, Chilean Jorge Aguilar, Guilherme Clezar and De Bakker.""

De Bakker is regaining his best form, but did not expect an inspired Hocevar back to his gold days and playing so well. Hocevar was simply too much for the Dutch.

Ricardo Hocevar

Thiemo de Bakker

The name "De Bakker" sounds vaguely familiar. Isn't that the mug Nadal bageled and breadsticked in 2010?

Hocevar is a weird player, ok shots mixed with childish error. But he comes from a family of tennis players in Brazil so he has some pedigree. As for De Bakker, he can still come back to ATPs if he gets some form and confidence.
