I'm just saying looking at his record so far, especially compared to slam winners at his age, it doesn't look too likely.

The top 4 are so far ahead of everyone else they will still be able to dominate slams for another 4 years or so. After that maybe Raonic will have his chance but I just don't think he has the game to do it.

While that is certainly true, it's also true that most multiple slam winners had at least reached a QF by the end of their 3rd GS season. Let alone when they were already 21. That's not to say Raonic can't be different though.

raonic is playing in the wrong era

in the 90s, he'd be reaching QFs and SFs at wimbledon and us already

i don't think he would have won though. doesn't possess the volleys or the return of serve

can't win if you don't break

3rd GS season? Milos' first slam was US Open 2010, so barely over 2 seasons, he's only played 8 slams

Very true for the most part(you can win in TB's), which is why Raonic broke Murray 3 times, he wanted to win I guess

well, murray does not have a exceptional serve

the first serve % is regularly too low, and the second serve is not a deadly kick or slice serve. it sits up, for an easy hit.

i've been thinking for ages that he should take 5 mph off it, and go for placement and (especially) spin over pure speed, which would get that % up and make it a genuine weapon

i'm not even going to compare murray's serve to the serves of those who played in 90s grass and hard courts

raonic played well today, but i can't see him taking a slam in this era unless there's a serious transition period, like 2001-2003

i've only gone on record as saying he'll win at least 1 slam . it's way too early to predict who the next dominant player(s) will be in the post-big 4 era.

Murray didn't reach a QF until his 11th GS, and his 4th season

He is not a multiple slam winner, is he? Besides, I did say most, not all and I also said that Raonic could very well be an exception.

Mugray is the worst GS winner in the open era. Gets schooled by a "serve bot" despite having the best return on the tour according to his tards

Hope Corey Failman and Crapeod watched this match. It really exposed Mandy as a counterpunching mug with no game, forehand, second serve and balls. There is a very good reason this clown is 1-4 in slam finals. If only No2e wasn't screwed by the USTA, he'd be 0-5 by now

Yeah, so is thayou predicting he won't win a 2nd slam?

Most predict he will win a 2nd slam, he is still relatively young.

I really don't think having a GS QF by your 3rd season is that key of a measuring stick when measuring how great a player will be

Most predict he will win a 2nd slam, he is still relatively young. It's not that uncommon for multiple slam winners to not have a QF by their 3rd GS year, Fed, Rafa, Hewitt. Only one that I googled that I'd was Nole, he got there in his 2nd GS season
I don't make predictions, sweetheart. I'm not psychic you see. A gift that has eluded me, sadly...

As of now he is not a multiple slam winner and as I live in the present not the future that's the way I see it.

I said at least. Rafa won a slam in his 3rd GS season... Roger made 2 QFs (you can't count 1998 as he didn't play a single slam that season, otherwise we'd have to count 2009 for Raonic as well) and well Hewitt is the exception. Still, 2 out of 3. Again, I said most, not all. And all of them were under 21 at the time, including Murray btw.

People thinking Mugray will win another slam

This mug pusher fluked USO and he certainly won't be getting "help" from tennis organizations in other slams. He's a clay mug and No2e will destroy him in AO. The only chance he has is at USO and only if his every opponent is injured and chokes. Hurricane level winds and USTA rigging the draw is essential too. After all how else is his supposed to outpush his opponents if they had a day of rest and not forced to play back to back matches.
