Re: Tokyo QF: Nishikori def. Berdych 7-5 6-4
I think it's pretty safe to say Nishikori matches up well against Berdych's and def has his #. You can see their head to head even early on Nishikori won their the first 2 times they met. It's kinda funny too because Berdych tends to have Nishikori in his side of the draw. And conversely Federer does not do well with Berdych and he tends to draw Berdych in his draw. That's just the way the round ball bounces....

Kei now has a 3-1 H2H against Berdych and a 3-0 H2H against Tsonga (being a tard by counting Kooyong). Likes these aggressive players. Just needs to work out Delpo now (0-5)

He's 0-4 vs Delpo, but lost all 10 sets they played, most of them routinely. Don't think he will ever work Delpo out, it's a horrendous matchup for him.
I do back him to keep getting good results vs Tsonga and Berdych, he loves playing aggressive big hitters (Del Potro, despite popular belief, is not a particularly aggressive player).

Expected. Berdych only brings his best against opponents who have a hideous nose.

It's a bit like Bear-dickh. Hard to describe, this might help http://www.forvo.com/word/tom%C3%A1%C5%A1_berdych/#cs

Expected result here. Turdych only shows up when facing the GOAT.

Re: Tokyo QF: Nishikori def. Berdych 7-5 6-4
Kei is the perfect example of how short players can be extremely attacking/aggressive and really take it to the bigger, more powerful players. It was amazing to see him completely boss around one of the biggest hitters on tour and it's far from the first time he does that either. Berdych was constantly on the defensive, getting 'bullied' by Kei, it was a beautiful display of why you don't have to be a pusher/grinder to succeed as a short player.
I hope Kei can stay from injury for once and finally fulfill all his potential. He should at least be in the top 10.

Lol Berdych should have attempted to signal the Japanese crowd to shut up

Nice result indeed. Congrats, Kei!
I once used to like Berdych, I feel sorry to admit that my allegiance to him appears to have disappeared in the past couple of months...

This is turning out to be a nice tournament
Well done Nishikori. Didn't see the match, and have a hard time fathoming what it is in his game that troubles Tomas so much. Maybe I am underestimating Kei.
