federer is crying himself to sleep at the thought of not being able to feed nadal a tasty bagel at the Year End Championships this time around

however, he is throwing points away like a nonce throws sweets to kids

djokovic has the Year End No 1 in his pocket simply by turning up on court

only question is whether federer's self entitlement will drive him to humiliate djokovic again, much like he humiliated roddick and hewitt for years

I won't be surprised at all if Djoke doesn't show up for all his scheduled events and Roger snatches a 6th year end #1. The tennis Gods love the GOAT that much. He can afford to go chill with his buddies at DC and play some meaningless exho in South-America. He is probably chilling on some beach in the Caribbean as we speak, with a clone of himself playing in Shanghai.

Is this the same thread about YE No.1?

I think Nole is now in better position than he was in summer, most likely he is going to win Beijing now and he will lead 1500 points in race with Shanghai, Basel, Paris, WTF - that´s 4000 points and both guys in the draw. I think he is right now favorite to end up season as No.1 considering the fact Roger playing also Shanghai means he won´t be as fresh for indoor season - his indoor season won´t be as good as last 2 years, because he is older, he played a lot matches this season so far, he said himself he was - is tired + no way he can win 3 weeks in row Basel, Paris, WTF under those circumstances. I think Nole is in very good position right now and should maybe even skip Basel to focus and be prepared for Paris-WTF combo - a lot of points there to gain.

Default Re: Endless Djokovic/Federer Debates (Who will win the 2012 year-end H2H?)

O.k. Nole officially put himself in position favorite for YE No.1 after his Beijing triumph.

I think it would be smart for him to skip Basel and be rested for Paris-WTF

Roger on other hand will probably skip-tank Paris, because of those 3 weeks in row - nobody is going to win all 3 those indoor events in row - 3 weeks - Roger played to many matches alredy this season and his indoor season won´t be as good as last 2 years - i think it will be more like 2009.

Nole leading by 1500 in race - 4000 points left for both guys with Shanghai, Basel, Paris, WTF - so Roger needs 1500+ points more than Nole and probably won´t add those 1000 at Paris - so really there is not much room for him to beat Nole

Also Nole seems to be in great form, his consistency this season is amazing, so at least SF, F expect from him at events he is playing so Nole is going for YE No.1 and Roger won´t do anything with it just hope he will at least end up 2nd ahead of Murray.

Default Who will end up with the better clay career? Djokovic or Federer?

I expect Djokovic to get the better results in the next years and win RG at least once. Nevertheless, Roger got 4 GS finals and several MS1000 titles.

Who will end up with the better career on clay?

Hilariously unfair comparison if Nadal fades away in the next year or two.

Federer had better clay merits when turning 26 than Djokovic has now. If he can catch up? It's possible, but it would take a relatively fast Nadal decline on clay, I think. If he blocks Djokovic as effectively in 2013-14 as he did in 2012 then I think it will be too late for Djoker.

the abusive swiss, and it isn't even close

despite having the worst backhand of all time for clay, federer could actually play slightly well on the stuff

of course, his humiliation of roddick was turned against him by nadal

homogenized courts help of course; the clay playing faster than it should etc. but, 5 grand slam finals at one slams don't lie (never mind 4 different slams)

djokovic has barely made that many grand slam finals in his career

it's obvious that djokovic will be able to pick up the clay scraps that nadal leaves; the question is whether he can win the career grand slam, and make that once great feat even more irrelevent

Federer overall.

Nothing comes close to reaching 5 FO finals, even if it means winning only 1 of them.

Also as said above with Nadal declining, it would a unfair comparison.

Ha, ha.What a ridiculous statement. If No1e wins RG twice that'll be more valuable achievement than Fedmug's 1 RG title regardless of how many finals he's played(and lost).
