If diez wins today who gets his RC qualifying WC? Bester? Is here in Toronto in case?

Re: Steven Diez
Diez will play after the qualifying draw in Toronto comes out. Wwhat happens there, he get drawn into the draw and withdraw if he wins or does he have to give his WC to someone else before? I'd almost prefer Bester getting it, Diez playing well this week but he won't likely be any good after a long flight tonight

Re: Steven Diez
Plays a WC in the first round at a challenger in Uzbekistan with Bryden Klein most likely in R2.

Re: Steven Diez
That makes 3 straight quarters for Diez, and all Challengers. Coming along nicely!

Re: Steven Diez
If Diez wins tomorrow it'll be his second straight $10 000 Future tourney title and he'll reach around World No. 223 in ten days time. (His career high now is No. 253). Pretty good for Canadian tennis / the Davis Cup team to have another 21 year old making such good process, and Diez is a clay-court player firstly

He won't be playing for the DC team as long as Milos and Pospisil are around, which they will be unless one gets injured.

Re: Steven Diez
Diez did win the final, coming back from a set down. He's signed up to play another Futures in Algeria next week as well. He should keep racking up 16, 17 more points each week doing this til he is ranked inside 200 and can get into Challenger main draws directly.

Re: Steven Diez
Diez is into the SF of a Futures tournament in Algeria. With these points he should be able to enter into the Australia Open qualies.
