USO, though, I felt that he had Mandy on the ropes after winning 3rd and 4th sets convincingly, then he proceeded to fall apart to the biggest slam choker on the tour I just can't explain it. If only he won the first set - Mandy would have collapsed in 3 just like at AO 2011.

The infamous wind, totally forgot about that. The best player in the world currently can handle the wind (Fed), still don't see how this comes into why he lost.

In this way of thinking, Noble can count himself fortunate for winning AO. should've lost to Murray, but he gave it away and Noble eeked it out.. in fact Noble was far closer to losing this than Murray was to losing USO Final. Should've lost to Nadal too, but he ran out of steam.

Noble = Nole. Can't be asked with fixing the auto correct.

Nole has always been highly affected by weather. Too warm, too cold, too balmy, too windy, too breezy, too much dust blown in his eyes...

They guy won a slam, made 3 finals, and will end the year #1.

It's a damn good year.

No one can boast similar credentials. The only tournament where he didn't reachs semis was Madrid (QF, lost to Tipsy). In fact, the only reason he doesn't have #1 mathematically secure by now is because the ranking system encourages vulturing and Nole is the anti-vulture, has only been to one non mandatory 500/250 event all year in Dubai (and now Beijing). He'd easily have secured #1 by now if he entered more non mandatory tournaments to collect easy points.
Heh, it never ends with you does it, whenever the truth beats your last argument, you just come up with a new one, each with less credibility than the last, now you are really grasping at straws here.

We both know that the AO semis and final were played in normal conditions, the USO's weren't. Tennis matches are usually not played in extremely windy conditions, it was a special case. Federer can handle the wind, Djokovic and Murray can't (this is the case because Federer is a much more complete/versatile player who can adapt to all sorts of conditions, making Murray and Djokovic look like robotic grinders in comparison). The first two sets of the final were basically a lottery, the tennis was simply horrendous as none of the two adapted to the conditions.

All valid excuses. Tennis is probably the sport most affected by weather. If you can't have good conditions then it ruins the whole match.

Sorry Djokonauts, I am a fan of Federer now. I've learned over the years to appreciate his contribution to the game. No one will ever surpass this man's influence.
Federer ~ The consummate professional. Never retired once in a match. Does not go over the time limit on every point.

Yeah, now I'm using Nole's superior results in big tournaments across the year as proof of him being the best player in the world. Really grasping at straws here, eh? This should teach me never to use tournament results when trying to find out who the best player in the world is

But yeah, Djokovic is the best player in the world because he has posted better and more consistent results across all big tournaments than any other player on tour.

Outclassed Murray when the wind died down, you then go on to say he was too tired, which is it, Andy won the match, so he outclassed him, you have the weakest argument's, really.

These excuses just get worse and worse, the wind has got to be one of the worst ever, take your blinders off, cause the wind affected both players, not just Nole, total stupidity. Nole ran out of gas in the 5th, c'mon, for a player who people saying he is the fittest on tour this in pretty insulting to him, if you really support him, he didn't run out of gas in the 5th when he won the AO right, it' just one sad pathetic excuse after another, because nobody can accept the fact that Andy won a major.

What it did was basically make the two first sets a lottery as none of them could play in those conditions.

And since when is Nole the fittest guy on tour? He's very fit, but no way is he the fittest.

This is a typical symptom of Noleisus obsessivisum. An ailment where the patient is so obsessed with Nole that they lose all objectivity and unwillingly forget how the sport works.
