Default Trap Music

Lately I am kinda into a certain kind of music that all sounds a little like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4AqCrR_nAU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Dqgr0wNyPo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4AVUN2Bcms

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-kjL...eature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk1_DbbzSdY

Now I am not really a guy that wants to put everything into genres but after a little research I know this is widely regarded as 'trap music'.
Just thought I'd start a thread so people who also like this music can join so we can all get to know more of this music (I really like discovering new songs myself, I am sure there are other people like that).

As I said earlier, I am not a narrow minded genre guy, so you are free to post other stuff, but of course in the same style as the exaple songs I posted here myself, which are pretty represantive for the sort of music I am talking about here.

Fuck yeah.

Boosie, Crime Mob, T.I. of course, OJ Da Juice Man, Gucci Mane, a lot of trap music out these days.

Course, don't expect many in MTF to enjoy this kind of music.

Yeah, thought I'd do it for the small minority that does and who knows maybe MTF surprises us.

The artists you name are more from the 'rap side' of trap, while I myself more like the 'electronic side' of it. I like some of the ones you named as well though.

TNGHT represents both sides the best IMO, HudMo ft Luncie

I hadn't even heard about the category before. It's been some years since I was well informed, I guess. Gave it a try but not my style of music.

I'll push it a bit then, 2 new tips:

Major Lazer - Original Don (Flosstradamus remix)
Hudson Mohawke - Cbat
Good Music - Cruel Summer (album)

Last one is mostly pure rap though.

me either! At work I saw an email where someone described their music as "trap" -- but I just thought it was a typo of rap!! (I work for a weekly paper that covers music as well as other stuff).

Ya, you kids need stop inventing new genres. It confuses us old fogies.
