Default Re: Gael Monfils - Tokyo

The news are not great. Let see the next weeks maybe he needs only some rest or worst a surgery.

Quote:
TOKYO (ATP 500, dur)

The coach Chamagne has indeed calmed everyone:

"We returned to Paris this morning at four o'clock, and the doctor has reassured us. Gael will resume with a racket in his hand as early as Friday or Saturday.
It was not the right thing to play so much on his return, but will be playing in Stockholm, Vienna and Bercy."

Patrick has also denied the rumors about a possible retirement of the Frenchman:

"I never said any of that. Gael's career will continue. The pains are due to the excessive workload after the accident"

how will he manage to play Vienna and Stockholm taking place at the same time? Obviously Chamagne confused Vienna with Valencia.

1st round vs a WC, 2nd Youznhy or Baker, quarts against Berdych. Tough draw for Gaël but he can do it, he's very strong on indoor!

O Gael, what is wrong with you? Still knee problems?

I somehow feel we are left in total fog about the injury.
