Re: Tokyo 500 R1: Slamray destroys Dr Ivo 7-6, 6-4
Ivo only won 9 points on Andy's serve. And Andy wasn't even serving that well. Hilarious stuff.

Re: Tokyo 500 R1: Murray def. Dr Ivo 7-6, 6-4
Haven´t seen, but just from stats i must say Ivo served probably better than ususally - to his current standards and was able to take it to at least 1 tie-break, but Murray´s numbers on serve fantastic - either he was serving like Ivo or Ivo again on return was horrible - i would take 2nd choice.

Ivo served 18 aces and still couldn't win a set.

He only served 56% of first serves, so probably the latter.

Solid win for Murray, Karlovic isn't the easiest of 1st round tie's after a few weeks off

Tiebreak GOAT? Not impossible in the future. As of yet:
Federer 65,8%
Isner 64,5%
Djokovic 63,2%
Sampras 62,8%
Nadal 62,6%
Murray 62,4%

Just this year, or lately. 7-0 since the beginning of the USO.

Andy perhaps a bit lucky to win the first set tiebreak, when he was twice a minibreak down, but otherwise, it all looked pretty comfortable from the numbers.

This is the 7th tie break in a row where he was down in the beginning. Surely, he wasn't lucky to win all of those.

I think if you're a minibreak down twice against a huge server in a breaker you're asking for trouble. I think he got a bit lucky - on one of them Ivo double faulted. Still, all's well that ends well. Or are we not allowed to assume Andy might actually get a bit lucky once in a while now and everything breaking his way must be down to his thick legs and magnificent skill?

Well, he does have nice legs, so why not?
