Probably won't but they are trying. Looks like it won't be decided for a while, with Europe in the lead in most of the early matches. Of course, they put their best men there. But so did the US.

Re: Golf 2012 - Waiting for Augusta
Yeah, that's true. They are putting on a tremendous fight and the quality of play is exceptional.
I think It's fair to say that the rookies are all playing extremely well: Dufner and Bradley are superb and Colsaerts was brilliant on friday and not bad now.
Too bad Poulter can't maintain his saturday form. But that was of course exceptional.

Re: Golf 2012 - Waiting for Augusta
Poulter is not out of it yet, he has delivered excellent back nines so far.
Europe is back to 13-15 in the projected score - and most matches are still close. Europe has three matches 1up, US have two. Two as AS. Only Donald appears to have decided his match.

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned...

Re: Golf 2012 - Waiting for Augusta
Trouble for Europe. US back to 16˝ projected, and gaining in several matches. Only three Europeans in the lead, Donald (who still haven't clinched the full point being 2up after 16) Lawrie and Molinari. Lawrie at least looks secure, 3up after 11. Molinari only 1up after 5.

Omg, I hate to overuse the word, but that would be a monumental choke from Donald if he loses this.

Ok, he has it. Big relief for Europe, still 5 all square.

So sick to death of hearing that whenever Europe is losing. Utter nonsense. And at least US fans that go actually watch golf. I'd be surprised if half the people in European Ryder Cup crowds even watch the sport. They just show up to root against the US.

6 AS now, after Molinari dropped his lead with another bogey. Dufner is still the only US man with a solid lead, but I really can't see enough matches turning now....11-17 projected.

Re: Golf 2012 - Waiting for Augusta
Yeah, but projections don't mean sh-t. They can change literally by 5 points either way in minutes.
It's a long shot, but the US is not playing nearly as strong as they should be.

Re: Golf 2012 - Waiting for Augusta
US not as strong as they should? Looks strong enough...but you're right things can change fast. Garcia squared his match, Westwood and McIlroy went 1up and suddenly projection is 12˝-15˝. Looks better, but of course it's still not enough to make a real match of it.

Re: Golf 2012 - Waiting for Augusta
The US team came out not to lose, not playing to win. That's never, ever good. We'll just have to see if the lead was big enough.
And the slow playing in some of these matches is nauseating. That's the worst thing about golf.

Re: Golf 2012 - Waiting for Augusta
All right! 13-15 and six matches at AS. Now were talking! Soon to be 8-10 on the board as well. Lawrie 5up after 13. If his flight finishes at 14 that will ease the congestion somewhat.
