Nadull . I can only hope he loses on natural surfaces more and more, so he decides all Slams should switch to HCs. What a POS he is for the sport of tennis.

Just speed up the HCs FFS. Knee problems will be long gone.

Clay is supposed to be slow, HCs are supposed to be medium to fast, grass fast. Less running for Rafa on HCs as well.

One can understand his complaints about hard courts if one considers his knee condition (although the "business" referrence is typical of his manicheist views)

But the "indoor referrence" made me realize something else : if something like this year happens (big matches of Wimbledon second week being played indoors), and if Nadal's still there, you can be sure that we will hear far more complaints from him than we heard about this this year.

I don't think he's in doubt. Of course he can't predict the future and can't be 100% sure of what's going to happen, but his main goal is to be in perfect condition at the start of next season.

Nadal is POS..

Now he goes on about natural surfaces, finally we can agree. Why didn't he think of this before? Oh wait, because that wasn't in his interests, typical.

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned...

He's probably realising that this shitty slow surface is ruining his knees, like it did this year after like 3 marathons in a row. Great move if he misses it. Sad that we won't see him there though, should he actually withdraw

He shows his selfish side again

Indoor grass court - Not real tennis because he lost to Rosol
Hard courts - shouldn't be allowed because he doesn't like

When was it ever not in Nadal's interest to have more tournaments on natural surfaces?

I read his whole interview in French (he gave the same interview to l'Equipe, the Daily Mail, Marca and La Gazzetta Dello Sport) and he didn't give me as much the impression that he's escaping the truth : his mind is far from tennis atm, and a little bit in dreams as well, but he's still a realistic guy.

What's mostly clear for him is that he wants to be 100% recovered before coming back (he says "before deciding where and when I will play" hence the fact that he says he has no idea about it and probably hence the quote which scared some about the Aus open, didn't mean more than "I don't know" imo).

Beside the Rosol-quote, he says that he played with anti-inflammatories, injections, the last two matches of Roland-Garros and the first matches of Wimbledon. Maybe he should not have played Wimbledon, his training previous week was awful, but it's hard to stop when you are winning.

Was very happy the way he played until Roland-Garros, he felt he could win anywhere and thought it was one of his best seasons (which his Ricoh matchstats confirm by the way - generally speaking his whole interview sounds full of confidence about his tennis level : he thinks there's no reason he would not come back to the same level after several months out).

He says that already in 2009, he didn't have the same physical level as in 2005 but "it's normal and you only lose if you don't add something beside" here saying that his game changed a lot and he plays shorter points than before.

Seldom played with pain in 2010 and 2011.

Says that he will try to play more on clay and less on hardcourts but "doesn't have many options for that".

Also two notes from him which I fully agree with but which are very bad for tennis journalism and all the kind of comments you read in articles and also among fans :

I understand your job. You need reasons, explanations for everything to write. But seriously, I don't see any differences between the Murray from six months ago and the one from now. If you are able to play four Grand Slam finals, it's that you're capable of winning one. It does not make such a difference.

I don`t think soo , if the courts now would be faster like in the 90s , federer keep winning multiple slams especially wimbledon and us open , federer in very slow clay was a great player only because nadal , he lost many roland garros but in the 90s without nadal he would won at least 1 roland garros.

federer said that maybe because he wants critized the slow of the hardcourts and grass but he not want to give names of players who beneficit much more because do that it`s for problems

If the courts had not been slowed down, fed would have won more slams.
