Damn, hoped Madrid's struggles would continue. Great football match though, even though the first half was shit.
This group is tough, I can definitely see Real not qualifying if City and Dortmund play well at home. Unless Real picks up.

agree with rocket, may have been 2-1 up but it was hardly deserved, and with 5 minutes left they should be able to get something from the game... but they stayed too open and gave Madrid the ball with panic defending.. they had been doing it all night long, the defence never pressed Marcelo or Ronaldo and really they should have had double teamed Ronaldo or stopped him going inside all the time, you could tell he would score sooner or later
Mancini's record at Europe has always been pathetic - Inter and City - and tonight he even had a pop at Joe Hart for showing dissapointment - seeming to forget he should have been thanking Hart for the score not being 8-2
had it been one of his boys Balo or Tevez he'd have been kissing they're arses better and giving them a 2 month holiday back home.

They were hammered for most of it. This is cause he thinks he can just send his swashbuckling English champions out at tough European venues and they'll win when European football requires tactical brilliance as well as quality players.
Someone like Benitez would do well with that squad. Mancini's CL record is pretty ordinary.
