Expecting this to be 3-2. Nieminen should win both his matches, I'm thinking Romainia will win the doubles, it will depend on if both Romainian singles players can beat thye Finland #2 or not. I'm thinking 3-2 Finland

romanian chose the wrong courts against the finnish, imo
i think heliovaara, even if he is slumping terribly, should win at least one match there
yeah, doubles will be won by romania for sure
so sad henkka wont be here...

Why in the world INDOOR HARD?  It should've been clay. We would've won doubles and Heliovaara would've lost to both Crivoi and Copil. Now Nieminen will beat both Crivoi and Copil i'm sure of it, Romania will win the doubles, Copil will beat Heliovaara so the deciding match will be Crivoi vs Heliovaara and i don't trust Crivoi on indoor hard... |

Nieminen - Crivoi 7-5 6-1 6-2, Not much of a surprise here, the surface simply doesn't suit Victor's game.

Copil - Heliovaara 3-6 6-4 *0-1
Pretty bad match so far with many errors, Copil has an awful percentage of 1st serves in, around 40%, and his backhand was unreliable so far. Heliovaara doesn't have many weapons but he plays good tactically, hitting constantly on Copil's backhand.

Copil wins 3-6 6-4 6-2 6-4 
Heliovaara had his chances, had 4-3 and BP in the 2nd set, also 3-0 and BP in the 4th and if he plays like he did from 4-4 in the 2nd set, Heliovaara can be beaten by Crivoi.

Klizan won 3-6 6-2 7-6 6-2 against Elias. The portuguese had a set point in the 3rd set. Close match, surprisingly!
João Sousa cruised against Lukas Lacko by 6-4 6-4 6-3.
Btw, it's in Slovakia, hard court indoor.
Good day for Portugal, the doubles match will be really important.

Romania - Finland 2-2.
Romania won doubles 3-0, Nieminen d. Copil 6-3 7-5 1-6 7-6(4) and keeps Finland alive.
Jarkko played better only in the 1st set, but he played all the big points with 1st serve, had some well placed shots and volleys, while Marius served better and his groundstrokes were more powerful.
Copil served for set at 5-3 in the 2nd, also missed a SP at 5-4 40-30. In the last 2 sets Nieminen had no more break points but managed to hang on and win in the tiebreak.
