Re: ESPN Experts' US Open Picks
I am shocked that the ESPN commentators chose Djokovic overwhelmingly over Federer. recent form says completely otherwise. strange
also surprised not ONE for Murray? I am a bit baffled by the picks, hopefully it is not such a boring cookie cutter tournament as they are expecting. Haha it's funny that a few TOMMY hASS as a dark horse sleeper, do they really think Haas will have the energy to make it far in the draw? love the guy, but a grand slam at 34 is a lot more taxing than best out of 3

Murray is not mentioned even once it seems. lol. Nnt even as an early exit or wild card or women's champion. lol.

Re: ESPN Experts' US Open Picks
The experts are very wise in not mentioning Murray. They know he doesn't like playing under pressure. This is a good omen, although I'm still not too sure how he can possibly beat Roger and Nole back to back in a BO5S situation. We'll have to wait and see. However kudos to these experts for not piling on the pressure on Murray a la Mats & Goran

Re: ESPN Experts' US Open Picks
About damn time that these so called "expert analysts" have sense knocked into them about Murray winning a GS

Re: ESPN Experts' US Open Picks
the problem with those predictions is that they are not percentile. even though one feels that the margins are slim, he/she has to make a call, and the end result might appear lopsided. i reckon that is exactly what happened in the present case. for sure, djoko is not an overwhelming favourite, and quite a few people would not give him the poll position.

I agree. He performs best when people least suspect it.

I think this is akin to the British term "dark horse"

Re: ESPN Experts' US Open Picks
CILIC was the only Non Top 10 player to reach Quarters.
He was the Sleeper. One expert picked him.
The toughest road was easily Monaco, who lost in R1.
Only three experts picked him.

I agree with some of them, Richie was a sleeper during his last match.
