Re: Why is berdych so tough for federer?
Yeah, Berdych just reads Fed's game exceptionally well, from the serve onwards. He returned Fed's serve brilliantly, not just getting it back but ripping it, and he did the same with some of Fed's best forehands, & backhands down the line. When a player not especially noted for his anticipation (though this is probably underrated) and movement is able to do this, it's kind of weird but it is what it is.

Re: Why is berdych so tough for federer?
Because Berdych feeds on a Fast Game. His game is more dependant on Timing. And Feds game is very similar to it. Fed hits a lot of Fast Balls towards Berdych and he just preys on it.

Seriously, I have no idea. Roger always seems to get a case of the stupids when playing Berdych.

Re: Why is berdych so tough for federer?
Grandpa Fed (2009+) struggles against power hitters and ball strikers.
Jesus Fed (2003-2007) used to gobble them up 99% of the time, out-hitting them in the process.
The reasons why "Olderer" struggles against the likes of Berdych et al should be obvious to any astute and intelligent follower of the game.

Re: Why is berdych so tough for federer?
Olderer struggles to any top 10 hitter except ferrer. Tsonga, berdych, potro, fish all big hitters. Soderling too in the past. Big hitters never win slams though unless there is fluke.

Struggles? I would like to have such struggles. He is 6-0 against Del Potro in 2012 alone. He is 16-1 against Söderling all time, and 8-1 against Fish.

Re: Why is berdych so tough for federer?
Because Berdych has talent unlike the ballbashers Del Potro, Soderling and Tsonga.

The old excuse.
Try to think of something else and better, I know you can do it

Re: Why is berdych so tough for federer?
Because when Frauderer gets faced with an opponent who can actually hit the ball without being paralized by fear and choking, then he loses. Birshit can do it sometimes.
