Oasis are the superior band, easily. Loved Damon Albarn but no way do they touch Noel and Liam as a combination.
This is basically a party. Too much of this country's shit exports. One Direction, Jessie J, these no-marks don't deserve to be there. I can see why they've done it this way. The opening ceremony was so fantastic they were never touching it.

Oh ffs, the British are redefining the concept of exacerbated patriotism... both ceremonies have been nothing but a major glorification of all things British. It's Britain, Britain, Britain and Britain... jeez, it's the Olympic Games guys, it's the international event par excellence!

Nah man, Blur have way more integrity and a thoroughly cohesive back catalogue, while Oasis wrote 1 good album and about 10 good singles, same old material after their first two albums.

Beijing was very Chinese though and I found it very educational. It taught me about their culture. Just this time, it's my own country exporting its culture elsewhere.

Must be nice having the next dominant golfer in your ranks. I sometimes wish he just messes up as we don't need another golfer chasing records.

I don't get what people expect from the Olympics in Britain except British stuff, especially when Britain has quite a lot to brag about in terms of contributions to modern culture and living, even if some may not like them all.

I found the 08 ceremonies overly nationalistic as well. But I'd say these ones were even worse.
Again, exporting the culture and showing oneself to the world is fine. But this is the olympics, it's about sport, about athletes from all the countries in the world. It's seems the olympics itself has been only superficially explored... one would think these two ceremonies have been financed by the British Ministry of Tourism of something.

And I can say what I think of what you do.
Is that the way you argue all the time?
