Vocals should have been pre recorded for the oldies.

I always love this part. The marathon winners receiving their medal (and a huge ovation) during the closing ceremony.
Must be a great day in Uganda.

Anyone notice the guy handing the flowers over just grabbed them by the front, where the petals are and stuff? Very classy. Great comedy.

I must say I like the ending ceremony better than the opening. Just a classy ending with rational amount of effects and some great, everlasting music.

Re: Olympic Games 2012 London Thread (All other sports besides tennis)
They have turned closing ceremony into some kind of a music concert with the participation of all the local bands and solo singers
pretty disappointing

Michael, Brand and Norman Cook. There'll be more failed drug tests after the closing ceremony than at the Games themselves.

This has been pretty shit to be honest, I expected more. Shame to end the games on this average note.

Re: Olympic Games 2012 London Thread (All other sports besides tennis)
This is shite. The opening ceremony incapsulated everything that was great about Britain. This show is simply presenting our boring and unimaginative streak.

Re: Olympic Games 2012 London Thread (All other sports besides tennis)
Well, openers always have a way bigger budget than the closing ones. For me this was the best way to end these Olympics.

While Liam mumbled through his brothers song, Blur headline hyde park to 75 000 people.
I think we all know who really won the battle of britpop
