Where is the guy who just wanted to be over already before the Opening Ceremony?

I mean I will be glad when it's over from an impact on London perspective. It's been all about the Olympics for a very long time. It will be nice when things calm down again, but it is great fun right now. I'm just going nowhere near it.

Chris! The Olympics are great for London, I hear only nice things from the Estonians there.

Seems that I had a ruptured appendix and so I was operated a few hours later.

Imagine the hot tv doctors you know, add a couple of notches in hotness and you have that doctor. The word "HOT" doesn't even begin to describe him. When he left, I looked at the woman I shared a room with and I noticed that her eyes were popping out of her sockets as well. Her reply: "You lucky, lucky, lucky woman".
Turns out that he's an absolute darling on top of it because normally I had to wait until today to return home (hospital activity is lower during the weekends) but after looking like to him, he stared at me for a bit *swoon* and he said that he was going to see what he could do to speed things up. I was able to go home the next day.
I'm now home resting for at least two weeks which is quite boring but necessary.

Olympics: saw quite a bit of it and as I said before, I love the swimming so that timing was good as well. I just loved watching Phelps. He seems to be a very nice guy on top of it.
And praise the heavens above for small mercies that La Fed didn't win singles gold, congratulations to Murray fans.

Goodness Hilde! I'm glad you're back home but no need to rush things.

Exactly what Melanie said, plus watch some Olympics if the weather is not good outside.
Hi everyone!

I love America. I was just shocked that someone so rotund could be an elite athlete. If I had seen a man who was so heavy playing I would have said something too.
At the Olympics I am pretty much happy for anyone who wins a medal (minus some) regardless of the country. I like Americans to win more than others. Nearly all my favorite Olympians are USians. But, I loved that little woman from Jamaica who won the sprint. She was so adorable. And also I liked the English woman who won the heptathlon. I was in awe of the Ethiopian woman who won the marathon. Amazing to look so gorgeous after running so far. But my absolute favorites so far are Nathan Adrian and Gabby Douglas. Both adorable — except Gabby has that inner steel that makes those little gymnasts so formidable. I’m kind of afraid of all of them. Also loved that John Orozco who did poorly and made me want to hug him. I would have liked the woman who won the gold medal in shooting, but she turned out to be a fed fan Oh, and the woman who won judo gold! She’s very brave. I don’t know that I would want my story out there like that, but she is probably more healthy than I.

Oh Hilde.
And you took a laxative.
Ruptured appendix is quite serious, and I’m so glad you are all right. Also having a hot doctor is just reward for going through something so serious.
What is going to be interesting is to see if symptoms you had before go away now. I know a guy who was diagnosed with a “spastic colon” for years, and then his appendix broke. I had severe bouts of tonsillitis for years before the appendicitis, and never had it again afterward — a sadness really, because it had gotten me out of a lot of school.
They have much better surgical techniques these days. I think movement and moderate exercise is good for recovery. At this age, I would be cautious about riding a bike so soon, but when I was young — no problem.

I think you may have seen our other duo (who lost in the round of 16) because these guys both have short hair:
